NEW TUTORS WANTED!
In 2024, we'd like to expand the range of tutoring offered at AGAPE. We're looking to establish classes to suit a broad range of ages and skill levels, so if you have a particular gifting in the area of music, creative or performing arts and are keen to share this with aspiring students, we'd love to hear from you!

AGAPE ARTS is a music and creative arts school in the heart of Camden, NSW, comprised of AGAPE Music and AGAPE Creative.
AGAPE Music started 20 years ago with Heather Bieman teaching piano and has now developed into a school with piano, guitar and voice lessons and eight tutors! From humble beginnings and a big dream, AGAPE has grown into Camden's premier piano school and the home of a dynamic, exciting performing and creative arts training community.
Piano students are taught on good quality acoustic pianos maintained and regularly tuned by James Patmore of Piano Direction. We even have a beautiful Yamaha grand piano, for student performances and some lessons! We have a wide range of music books which students may borrow for a small fee. New books and legal digital sheet music downloads can be purchased by Agape and paid for by parents.
AGAPE Creative began in 2022. We offer a drum circle class and a small paper tole class for adults. Perhaps 2024 is your year to try something different!
All our tutors have a current Working With Children Check, and we are an approved Creative Kids Provider. (Apply for a Creative Kids Voucher at Service NSW)
AGAPE ARTS operates under Camden Uniting Church and runs lessons and classes from the church premises. We are an inclusive organisation that welcomes all students!

Paper Tole Classes
The art of handcrafting 3D pictures from flat prints.
You will learn how to skillfully cut, shape, and assemble pieces of paper from a set of identical prints, layering them onto a base picture to create a 3D version of the original.
Suitable for all levels.

Other services
Performance venue hire
Camden Uniting Church auditorium houses a beautiful Yamaha Grand piano and comfortably accommodates approximately 180 people. The venue can be hired for concert performances by community groups and individuals.
AGAPE is also an AMEB Examination Centre for Metropolitan Series 2 piano exams which are held in November / December each year.
Accompanist
Heather Bieman has been the head teacher and the co-ordinator of AGAPE since it was first established in 2004.
She plays for church services, weddings, and funerals and often accompanies young instrumentalists for music examinations.
Hire us for this service and learn how we can cater to each performer's unique needs.
Master classes
Agape is committed to ensuring the development of local talent within the Macarthur area to a high standard. We do this by providing access and the opportunity to work with elite musicians in their chosen fields. Throughout the year, workshops, seminars and Master Classes are offered in various disciplines.
