Dr Meier - Kapavale grew up at Oakdale , near Camden,
and attended local schools before traveling overseas at
the age of 15 to study piano. For some years she studied
and performed in many countries, before returning to
Wollongong where she completed her doctorate of music.
She has been described by the eminent pianist and
teacher Bela Siki, as one of the most talented pianists
of her generation. Her extraordinary critical acclaim
has established her as one of the foremost interpreters
of piano music today.

Since March 2011 Marilyn has been fighting cancer - at
the time of diagnosis she was
Head of Keyboard Studies at the
University of Southern Queensland
in Toowoomba.
In February 2012 Marilyn and her three children
relocated to Oakdale near Camden. Welcome home, Marilyn,
Marie-Luise, Grace and Ben!!!! We're so pleased you've
all "come home"!
